I heart faces- Reflection

Instead of putting this on my regular blog I thought I would actually enter it from here. I will still post it on my other blog but just for viewing pleasure. Here is the photo I would like to enter.


It came down to 2... One with a small mirror and one with a larger mirror. I will post the small mirror on a different post.

I chose this one. There is a story behind it.

When Ty was small and we were learning about his vision and what his impairment one of the things we did was mirror play with him. Seeing if he recognized himself. He did and then we didn't really "do it" it any more. We know he can see and we know he knows who Tyler is. But I am not sure he has ever really watched himself.

This allowed such a fun teaching time with him.

He waved, he shared Thomas, he stared, he watched how That Tyler would move in comparison to him Tyler. He gave himself hugs and kisses and showed that Tyler where mom is. I was very proud of him....

That is why I chose this photo.

The second edit is my least favorite. I think it is because of the border.

I used the PS4 for croping and the black and white and the eyes. I used picnik for editing of the vignette, and some cloning. I used Picnik for the framing as well.

I heart faces constructive feedback

I am such an amateur that I don't or didn't think to get the info. I do know the ISO WAS 1600 because we were indoor. It is on a canon rebel and it was taken in AV mode no flash. Editing was pretty much nothing. A little sharpen on the photo, and vignette. I printed at a one hour photo and the coloring looks really light and not what it look like on here. Any suggestions would rock.

Fix it fridays

Over at Iheartfaces they have a fix it Friday where you can edit a photo of their choice with your editing program of choice. I have never participated but love to try things out so here is my edit.
